A King and Serfs

Circa 1999

Jack Redmond dreaded the day that he would begin ninth grade at Rockville High. He knew about the Kingdom - the group of popular kids who ruled the school - and didn't want any part of it. Not that he would have been invited anyway. He was too weird, too moody, too hot tempered to be part of that crowd. As long as no one bothered him, Jack was going to sail through high school unnoticed.

Sophomore Connor McIntyre is King. Captain of the baseball team, school pretty boy, most admired teen in all of Rockville High. He could have any girl and anything he wanted with just a request. Unfortunately for him, what he secretly wants is the aloof boy with the jet black hair and green eyes.
