Midkemia’s fifth and final Riftwar—the devastating Chaoswar—explodes in the opening volume of Raymond E. Feist’s spectacular new epic fantasy trilogy of magic, conflict, and world-shattering peril. A Kingdom Besieged is a breathtaking adventure that brings back Pug—first introduced in Feist’s classic debut novel, Magician, and now Midkemia’s most powerful sorcerer—who faces a major magical cataclysm that forces him to question everything he’s ever held as true and dear…including the loyalty of his beloved son Magnus. The Chaoswar promises to be the crowning achievement in the three decades-long career of a New York Times bestselling master fantasist who rules the sword and sorcery universe along with Terry Goodkind, George R. R. Martin, and Terry Brooks.

A Kingdom Besieged
You really had me worried there for a bit, Mr. Feist. Actually, for the past few books. I wasn't sure where you were going with your stories lately, and almost felt like we were re-reading ANOTHER story of 2 boys, facing manhood. Don't get me wrong, I've grown to know and really like each one, I just wasn't sure if any of it was going to be, well, new!
But after reading this book, I take back all prior doubts. Now, I know better. I'm almost starting to get a glimpse of the big picture. I thought I had already seen the big picture before, but this the BIG big picture. And it's wilder, and more wondrous, and more terrible than anything I've ever imagined. You've completely floored me, Mr. Feist, once again. For the first time in what seems like forever. Glad to see you haven't lost your touch. Thank you, and keep up the good work.
Typical Feist
If you like his books, you'll like this one as well. I'm very disappointed the iBook does not include a map of the continent considering I paid the same price as purchasing the hardcover book. Boo apple...
