The test of time
I first read this book when I was 12 and loved it. I’m now 70 and reading it again. It is a beautiful and heartwarming story, and I love it even more as I relate to Abbie Deals’ life and aging. I realized when I was young that it was a preview of Life. Now, older, I realize this story offers me even greater perspective and a deep measure of comfort and peace.
