A Return From Philadelphia

Winter 1775 is a cold, bleak time with an uneasy continent on the verge of war with the Mother country. But none of that matter to two young newlyweds, who didn't get nearly enough of each other before Jed was called to the Continental Congress. While she is glad that Jed has this opportunity, Nora is not quite ready to release him to the service of others. Each day is longer than the next as she waits for his next letter or his upcoming visit. Now he's back for the Christmas holiday, and while she expects a special time, she has no way of knowing just what is in store for her with his homecoming. Especially since he's not coming home alone, this is a big surprise for her. Why has he brought her former suitor, Thomas, home with him for Christmas, and why does he suggest such new things for them to try?
