Description de l’éditeur
He's no Prince Charming.
Lord Rushton Smith is as rough as he is hard. His only wish is to leave London and the ton behind. He just wants to live a simple life of mind numbing work away from family and the crime that has shaped him into this beast of a man. But one small favor is burning down his dreams one by one and threatening to reshape his entire life.
Can a criminal be her hero?
Trapped into an engagement with her distant cousin and new guardian, Lady Abigail Wentworth has no idea how she'll survive the future that lays before her. That is until the rogue, Lord Rushton Smith charges into her life and carries her away.
Literally.
When she faints, he just picks her up and loads her into his carriage. But her guardian, Baron Westphal wants her back. Worse still, Lord Smith swears he won't marry, and now her path is murkier than ever.
And the attraction that crackles between them?
And added problem that she doesn't need. A complication that is sure to be her ruin and a sweet temptation unlike any she has ever known.
Can she resist this rogue's call long enough to find her place in this world or will he be her undoing?

Rush and Abby
Before Lord Rushton Smith can leave London to start a new chapter in his life, he has one last thing to take care of. His sister has asked that he check on her friend who is in a bad situation. When he arrives at the home of Lady Abigail Wentworth, he witnesses her abuse at the hands of her cruel cousin/guardian. Rush grabs the young woman throws her over his shoulder and, well, rescues her. This is where their story begins. It becomes obvious that more is going on with Abby’s cousin than meets the eye, but what? This is an exciting and heartwarming story. Rush and Abby are good together. He is tender, caring, and protective with her. She is open and understanding with him. It doesn’t take long for them to fall hard for each other. Trouble and danger follow them, but Rush and his brothers are on top of it. He would never have believed it, but Rush is about to find out that dreams can come true. Entertaining and enjoyable. I look forward to the next Smith brother’s story.
