Publisher Description
A high school bully. A misuse of powers. And an unexpected consequence.
Sixteen-year-old Charley Cooper has waited years for her magical abilities to appear. At this point, she's convinced the witchy gene skipped her entirely.
So when her cousin Danu uses her powers to retaliate against her high school nemesis without considering the consequences, Charley is furious at the recklessness that could expose their family's magic. Maybe she's just a little jealous, too.
When someone attacks the other girl and leaves her in a coma, Danu becomes the prime suspect. As angry as Charley is at her cousin, she doesn't want her to go down for something she didn't do.
Then Charley has what she thinks may be a vision. Her first ever possible sign of any supernatural ability, and it shows Danu in danger. Whoever attacked the bully doesn't appear to be finished. Charley is forced to investigate before her cousin becomes the next victim.
If you enjoy magic, quirky characters, and small-town cozy mysteries, you're sure to enjoy A Witchy Mistake and the Witches of Whispering Pines series!

A Witchy Mistake
For a family of witches in a small East Texas town, life is always lively. But Charley, the oldest daughter, doesn’t have the magic her great-grandma, mom and younger sister have. But she does have tons of curiosity and a strong sense of justice. When her cousin is accused of gravely injuring another student, Charley is determined to find the real culprit and exonerate her cousin.
First crushes, mixed emotions and magic stir up a witch’s brew of excitement and emotional awakening. Fun YA read!
Excellent book
This was really enjoyable read. I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the series. It had me hooked from the very beginning. Brought back memories of high school to me too.
Loved this intro to a new series!
This book is the first in a series about a young high school girl from a witch family but without any magic. Her cousin gets in trouble at school for something she didn’t do and Charley decides to look into it. Along the way, we are introduced to her friends as well as Charley’s boy troubles.
Well written and I’m ready to start the next one!
