QUETTA -- When Kargil adventure had come up in the knowledge of the world, the political leadership and the diplomats of this country were found blank. There was protest from State Department of the United States asking embarrassing questions to he then Pakistani Ambassador to Washington. Since he was blank like the Prime Minister of Pakistan, he had no answer to the volleys of queries asked from the State Department. The Pakistani Ambassador simply asked the Foreign Office to inform him about the replies to the questions asked by the officials of State Department. It was a strong protest from a seasoned Pakistani diplomat to his Government for keeping him dark on the issue of Kargil adventure. The seasoned diplomat later was promoted as Foreign Secretary and now he is passing a retired life. Same was the complaints from the former Prime Minister of Pakistan who returned to parliament with a two-third majority in the general elections. To this date, the PML-N leader mention the incident with great pain as a result of Kargil issue, the PM Minister was dismissed and Parliament dissolved following an Army take over by General Pervez Musharraf. Pakistan fought two wars against India and both the wars were declared by the military dictators-General Ayub later promoted to the rank of Field Marshal and General Yahya Khan.
