You don’t “contract” lupus
Honestly, this is a cute and gullet totally innocuous (if somewhat unnecessary) book for those who need more Sookie except for one terrible and totally unnecessary sentence. It is so massively unkind and dangerous to act like autoimmune diseases are contagious. It’s just one completely unnecessary sentence.
Lupus is not contagious and should not be associated with prisons. I have had SLE for decades. It’s always hurtful when people are nervous that they will catch it. You won’t. Nor can you catch Hashimoto’s, rheumatoid arthritis, or any autoimmune disorder.
Please authors, if you are going to include a serious illness in your books, have the courtesy to look up information before increasing stigma about an already difficult condition.
So disappointed!
Really? Paid eleven bucks for that? I could've, and should've written this. Charlaine, shame on you!
After dead
Shame on the author for charging for this book. She should have put this at the end of the last book. Very disappointed and will think twice before buying anything else she writes. Rip off for sure. Shame on me for not reading reviews before buying.
