Where the men are as bold and untamed as America's last wilderness
It's been three years since Lane Bishop tragically lost her fiancé, and she's finally ready to risk her heart on someone else. The hot look in Dylan Brodie's eyes says he's going to be that man.
But when Lane flies to the remote 1930's fishing lodge to help him renovate, she discovers a little girl who won't speak, eerie legends and strange sounds in the night. And when she investigates the history of the lodge, she uncovers a legacy of injustice and murder.
As danger stalks his daughter and the woman he is coming to love, Dylan must risk everything to uncover the shocking truth.
Romance and suspense are evenly matched in this powerful series launch from bestseller Martin (Desert Heat). Beverly Hills interior designer Lane Bishop agrees to help single dad Dylan Brodie remodel his fishing lodge in Alaska. Though she felt the attraction between them when she met him briefly in L.A., she is unprepared for the sparks that fly when she arrives in Alaska. As Lane decides whether to give in to her attraction to Dylan, her sleep is interrupted by ghostly noises and visions, and she believes that the lodge may be haunted. While seeking to unravel the mystery, Dylan and Lane's affair heats up and begins to involve more emotions than either anticipated, and Lane also grows closer to Dylan's mute young daughter, Emily. Intense mystery and sensual love scenes will lure readers into this novel and not let go until the final page is turned.

This read like my grandma wrote it
The vocabulary was outdated, and so was the description of electronics. The heroine was boring and the romance felt contrived. It was like the sex scenes were added last to check off the box. I never write reviews, but this was just soo bad I had to warn someone before they purchased it.
