A really good romantic suspense read...not a fan of installments to find out the ending.....
I really enjoyed Emma and Ryan. Emma is headstrong and not a weak wimpy woman. I really liked her feistiness and she did keep Ryan on his toes in trying to protect her. Ryan, a tough ALPHA SEAL, also showed his human side in his reactions to Emma. It was an easy and fast read, and if you love romantic suspense stories, then this is one I recommend, but I would buy both parts, because you won't want to wait. Although I am not a fan of books sold in parts, I was lucky enough to have both so I will be reading part 2 right away. I am not sure who started this trend, but I think in the long run it is hurting authors in selling their books. I am taking off half a star because it is not a finished book, and I can only review on the content of what I read. At least in this one, you were told ahead of time that it was in 2 parts. I want to thank NetGalley and Pocket Star for gifting me with an ARC and only asking for an honest review.
Romance/Suspense/Intrigue
Because this is set up as a Part One and two-part novel. Emma Wright, the aide to Renee Connors, the wife to an US Ambassador to the Philippines. After an aid mission trip to one of the islands Emma, Renee and Dr Juan Delgado are flying back when their plane runs into trouble and crash-lands. Alpha Crew are sent after the plane to rescue any survivors. Ryan Owen is the leader of Alpha Crew.
Laura Griffin, has once again written a very suspense and romance with intriguing and it is a page turner that has a cliffhanger so you want to read the next book.
Ends in a cliffhanger
The book is suspenseful with good writing. However, it ends in a cliffhanger and then you have to purchase part two. Personally, I would have preferred to have it just be One book.
