Space soldier Laura Diez hasn't been thrown off the deep end. No, she's been fired off with a high-powered rocket. And all because she stumbled across something she shouldn't have.
Her orders: join the Delta Unit and hunt down the most fearsome alien ruler in the universe.
To make matters worse, her ship is hijacked, leaving her in the custody of a mysterious force of aliens. With her partner missing and no weapons, she's struggling to find a way to escape.
The only up-side? Her cellmate's a towering, blue-skinned smuggler with a body so hot it should be illegal.
It was too cluttered.
Just didn’t flow. Chopped up and no real relationship between the couple.
This is a good story, complex characters, etc.... the problem is the book ends in the middle of trying to solve a crisis, so no resolution to the overarching problem, you are left hanging and there is no follow up, like series, to advance the story and hopefully resolve it.
If this was not a stand alone I would have given more stars as it really is well done. But leaving a cliffhanger, the big open storyline unresolved, knocked back the stars.
