Before a new race of super-humans can save the world, they first have to be saved themselves by a group of ordinary soldiers. These ordinary soldiers, known as the Eine, must fight off a powerful and seemingly invincible foe, their pasts, and their doubts about the future in an impossible struggle against the odds.
