One of the suggestions in the book is to 'avoid the person or situation that makes you stressed'. This is possibly the worst advice to give to someone with generalized anxiety because the more situations you avoid, the worst it gets. As someone who is currently winning the fight against GAD, I get panic attacks on the way to school. I HAVE TO drive to school, so this workbook is suggesting to not. DON'T follow and believe everything you read. This book is one of them. Be careful my anxiety friends. Keep doing what makes you scared because it WILL get better, trust me, it did for me.
