Born out of the ashes is EarthForce, a united defense and exploration force that sent the first of Earth's true starships to the stars and is now rebuilding a fleet.

José is a veteran of this war, facing the stigma of being a veteran of loss and others' fear of the enhancements that lie just under his skin.

What is a man to do but go outwards? And on the EFS Endeavour, will he find a new path or just the end?
