not your daughter’s Beauty and the Beast
Interesting to read the real Beauty and the Beast and compare it to the Disney version it inspired. It was also a horrific read. The message is disgusting and misogynist. It did inspire a day of historical research and learning.

This is one of those old fairytales that has weird prophecies and dreams and while there is some good dialogue in here (“No, Beast”) it can’t make up for this book’s inadequacies. A huge bore.
