Aaron Priests was the guy that everyone in the country was familiar with. A famed basketball star he was used to having his way. Ever present at lavish parties, he lived his life among shallow people and spent money like water. After a tragic accident during a game, and the news of his money being stolen by a trusted advisor, he was forced to leave behind everything he once knew and return home to his ailing mother. In the midst of his misfortunate effects, he meets a struggling bar owner Drew who criticizes the star for his misgivings. In her, he meets his match and through her, he realizes that the things that make a real King are not the things he owns. As he experiences several ups and downs over the course of several months, he learns the most prominent lessons of his life.
