A Christmas Bet and a momzilla…what could go wrong?
This is the prequel to a new series that will have multiple different authors. Each author will have a book of their own based on a character involved in a Christmas wedding. This prequel was told in third person POV and leaves you excited to see how this bet will play out.
I loved getting to meet the the characters for this new series. Chelsea and Rex meet and fall in love. One is from the city and one is from the country. The date for the wedding is set on a Christmas wedding. The bridesmaids and groomsmen are decided, but they have never met. With five months to go before the wedding takes place, a meet-and-great is in order. With both sides not a fan of each other, failed get-to-you games and a momzilla who wants to play matchmaker and accidentally planted a seed for bet due to an insistence that everyone have a date to the wedding, things are bound to get interesting.
I couldn’t help but laugh throughout this short read and get excited for things to come. I loved the banter (when they finally started talking) between everyone. I loved to see that both the bride and groom are good natured about the bet and accept it. I am really excited to read more of this and can’t wait to see how this plays out.

Short, fun prequel
What a fun introduction to Chelsea and Rex, the bride and groom, and their semi hostile wedding party. Chelsea tries to get them to intermingle and fails. Then her future mother in law shows up ne the wedding party takes matters into their own hands. They make a bet on having dates to the wedding. It was such a short, fun read and to get a glimpse into what is to come was a delight.

Excellent prequel
This is a very quick prequel to Chelsea Calhoun and Rex Buchanan’s wedding to be held in December in New York. We meet the groomsmen and bridesmaid where they make a bet to see who will bring a date to the wedding. It’s less than 50 pages and really piqued my interest in the multi author books to follow so I am excitedly awaiting them to come out. Very good prequel that makes you interested and excited to read the books to follow.
