Between Hope and Hell

Set in 1946 Tennessee, Between Hope and Hell follows Martina Grace, a café worker and secret horror writer whose carefully contained life begins to collapse when the FBI arrives in Winchester searching for missing agents tied to a drug operation in the hills.

When a local teenage boy is found murdered and questions begin circling Martina’s missing brother, she is pulled into a widening web of local corruption, buried violence, and dangerous loyalties. With pressure mounting from both the town and the law, Martina must decide how much truth she can risk telling when every answer threatens the people she loves.

Between Hope and Hell is Southern Appalachian noir and historical crime fiction with psychological tension, family stakes, and a grounded woman forced into moral conflict inside a postwar Southern town built on secrecy.
