DESCRIPTION

Why not finish a series before starting a new series in the same universe?
First I loved Bitter Frost. I loved the Bad Guy Delano who may not be such a bad guy. This book introduced me to fae books. I thought the take on the “werewolf” idea was new and interesting.
And then there’s the spin off: The Wolf Fey. I loved even more. Logan just went through the roof.
Let’s back up a bit and this is where my hesitation comes in, book 6 of Bitter Frost Series is Frost Fire. There is a main character change, it changes from Breena to Rose. (Rose is a main character in the Fairy Rose Chronicle Series) so for 5 books it was from Breena’s point of view, then bam it switches only to go back to Breena in book 7. That took a bit to get used to, and not unforgivable. I did enjoy Rose. Enough to even look into her series.(Which I guess was the whole point) + (side note: Book 8, I believe is from Breena’s and Kian’s view) So evidently there are 6 books in the Fairy Rose Chronicles Series, according to Ms. Gow’s own Website. But you can only fine the first 3 anywhere. Okay, a broken, again I can forgive this. Consider it a pre series. It’s definitely a kids series but it was worth it for nostalgia reasons.
Wait it gets frustrating now: There is a book called Ring of Ice. Part of the Frost Worlds Trilogy. TRILOGY. Which is part of the Bitter Frost series, or more accurately technically part of The Fairy Rose Chronicle Series. Add to that it also features characters from Gow’s Vampire Pulse Series. The premise of the first fairies having to do with Vampires was quite intriguing, so I bought the book.
It’s been 4 years that I have been on that cliffhanger. It’s supposed to be trilogy. Where is book
2 and 3? Where is book
4, 5 and 6 from the Fairy Rose Chronicles?
So instead of finishing these she starts writing a new series in this same world. Samurai Vampires or something like that, which is part of the Pulse world, which is part of Frost worlds, which includes Bitter Frost Series and Fairy Rose Chronicle Series and The Wolf Fey Series. So what, let me guess there is going to be 6 books in the Samurai Vampire Series, but only two will be “finished?”
Ms Gow has like 250+ books and more series in development according to her website. She has some Interesting ideas that would be worth getting into, but maybe she is biting off more than she can chew. Maybe having 250 books to your name isn’t such a good idea when there are so many series you haven’t finished it? Please finish the series you have before starting any new ones. And this isn’t like the Series was finished and ten years later people are showing an interest so you go back to those characters. (A lot of books and tv shows are doing that.) No these are multiple cliffhangers in multiple series being part of the same “universe.”
So, I’m done. What started as a 5 Star is now turning to a 1. I will not trust Gow to start any new series of hers. But if it’s worth anything if she ever finishes these series I will read them. Yes, I will even read the Samurai Vampire books if that series actually gets finished and she finishes the Rose Chronicles and The Ring of Ice series...
