BLACK BOY JUSTICE

BLACK BOY JUSTICE: Embracing Purpose and Healing through Life's Challenges tells the inspiring story of Willie Gilbert Jr., a Mississippi law enforcement officer, judge, husband, father, and community servant whose life reflected perseverance, faith, justice, and purpose.

Born in the segregated Mississippi Delta, Willie Gilbert Jr. overcame the limitations of his time to build a life of service and lasting influence. Through family memories, historical reflection, and the personal perspective of his daughter, Dr. Shelia Willette Gilbert, this memoir explores the experiences that shaped a Black boy into a man whose impact reached his family and community.

More than a biography, Black Boy Justice is also a daughter's journey through grief, healing, faith, and the responsibility of preserving a father's legacy. It reminds readers that hardship does not have to determine the ending of our story, and that purpose, perseverance, forgiveness, and faith can carry us through life's most difficult seasons.

A story of faith. A legacy of service. A message for today.
