APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
If you’re looking for a fast-paced detective story that doesn’t take itself too seriously, then Cheryl Bradshaw’s Sloane Monroe series is for you. In this, the first instalment, we meet the series’ sassy, fast-talking heroine: a private eye who gets in over her head while investigating what appears, at first, to be a skiing accident. You can almost smell the crisp, alpine air of Park City, Utah—the sweeping mountain backdrop is a welcome change to the gritty inner-city setting of most crime thrillers.

Black Diamond Death
Great book
I really enjoyed it
Stilted dialogue
spoils a great deal of this book. I wish the author would read it aloud so she could recognize the adolescent, amateurish way much of it sounds. It mars the otherwise okay plot. There were a few plot twists that asked the reader to take a gargantuan step away from reality, but then it wasn’t that expensive to download. Bottom line, a so-so read. Didn’t love it, didn’t hate it.
