Good
I like this book, but it took me a while to really get into it. It’s definitely not what I expected and I really feel like I only started understanding things right as the book was ending. You definitely can’t anticipate the ending either! So, overall it’s a good book that keeps you guessing but it definitely wasn’t an attention grabber in the beginning.
Edited to note : I went to download #2 and saw that each individual book in the series is $7.99. I downloaded the first book for free. I would definitely not pay $7.99 for this book and wasn’t attached enough to continue the series after reading the first one, for that price.
Angsty
So much whining. From both Kara and Maximus. For a big, serious professor he sure seems like a teenager. Be together …not be together…be together…oh no we can’t. Such a frustrating read and the end is not satisfying whatsoever. So predictable and the. A cliffhanger. Not worth continuing.
Terrific supernatural romance!
Intense, mysterious, sexy! Professor Maximus Kane is divine! Ungodly handsome, sex-on-legs studly with supernatural abilities. What is he? That's the burning question that plagues Max and the readers. The answer is fairly obvious but it takes until the end for the whole answer. Awesome! And what else is burning is the intense chemistry between the Professor and his student, the beautiful Kara. You know right from the start that she's a demon with more humanity than the Devil likes. Her future is set with serious consequences if she strays from her path. But what will happened? That's the question as she wants Max more that she wants to behave. The connection between Kara and Max is hot and steamy. They can't stay away from each other even if everyone is against them. Lots of mystery as the intensity builds to an explosive ending and a cliffhanger. Terrific writing, fabulous characters and a steamy romance in this enthralling supernatural story. Can't wait for the next installment!
