Whizz! Zoom! Whoosh! Boomer Bunny is the fastest critter in all of Woodville. Now, it's Boomer's turn up at the bat and all the Woodville team is counting on him to win the big game. But in order to do his best, Boomer must learn to slow down and listen.
Laughter fills the air in this high-flying baseball adventure, which mixes humorous rhymes by Julia Dweck with playful illustrations by Chris Kennett. Boomer at the Bat is the first in the Woodville Tales series, teaching youngsters that good sportsmanship is always in season!
I love the message of this book. It is a great way to teach kids about good sportsmanship. It is written with rhymes that work well for a smooth reading flow. The illustrations are great, really adding to the story. I look forward to reading this book to my kids as they grow older and begin participating sports and other team type activities.
