Boys will not be boys
Boys will be human was a book I was excited to read because I cannot stand the phrases boys will be boys and/or kids will be kids. Boys and children often know what they are doing, they just do not want to accept the consequences to their actions. I think that it is a good book to read for boys to help them understand they are biologically boys and there are some things that cannot change. It helps boys understand embarrassing things as boys and that they are normal. I think more fathers should read the book to help there children understand more of what they are going through. Many of the topics talked about in the book are things that society as men and women are struggling with. As someone who briefly studied gender studies in college, this book can help both men and women understand each other and understand each other as kids. I enjoyed reading this book because these topics nobody likes to talk about or can even begin to comprehend. Most people do not agree with topics in this book due to toxic masculinity/feminity. The topics talked about in this book I firmly agree with and it frustrates me that others do not agree with the topics talked about.
