After the untimely death of her first husband, Fiona Barclay sets out to remake her life. She meets a man with whom she believes she could share a life and enjoys a romance with him, but, is he the one, or is she just a convenience for him? She also meets a woman to whom she is drawn, and looks inwardly at herself to examine her feelings and her preferences, all this while embarking on a new career in a field long the bastion of male dominance.
