Customer Reviews
Useful, insightful, and packed with practical tips
Attended Martin Brossman’s keynote address at 2010 APMP Intl. Conference in Orlando, where Martin taught us the “rules of the road” for communicating via social media, including Tweeting, LinkedIn, and Facebook. Martin provided a practical overview of social media, online media, and ways we can incorporate them into everyday activities. He discussed the importance of greater transparency and authenticity in providing a competitive edge to our companies. Martin stressed that the "level of transparency equals the level and quality of information known about you or your business on the web." He discussed how to stay closer to our customers and how to be part of the "conversation" in cyberspace.
Check out Martin’s book, Brossman’s Social Media and Online Resource Directory for Business, for a number of insightful articles, including a short article by Deidre Hughey entitled, “The Top 5 Rules of Social Media” that reinforces the concepts that Martin discussed. Deidre stresses: 1. you must be honest; 2. must be transparent; 3. must have a plan; 4. relationships must be important to you; and, 5. know how you communicate best.
