This storyline takes place where Fury left off and we get to see how Caelin is struggling with what happened. He is trying to hide what he is going through from everyone. A quick read that will pull at your heartstrings. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

So excited that Laramie decided to continue with some short stories after the last epic book! While I loved it, this book definitely left me wanting more and with more questions!! What’s great about this book is while it’s focused on Caelin, we also get insight into the aftermath of the events that took place in Fury, so definitely go read that first or this book won’t make any sense. I love that we get to know Caelin a little more and also how he handles his role in the events that happened. Per Laramie, this won’t be the last short story, which I’m so thankful for because I wanted to keep reading and find out more about Caelin and how he’s processing and moving forward.
