Callan the Hero
I applaud Sybil Bartel for taking on a very different type of main character than her other books in this series, which I have read each one, and a few from her other series as well. Getting into the mindset of a man brought up in a cult having no contact with the outside is world is a challenge. I would have liked her to add more about Callan’s relationship with his mother before she passed away, and what had drawn her specifically to the cult. In all, I gave it four stars. J. McD.
Callan was so good and Alpha
This was a great addition to the series. Just like the author mentioned it would take a cleverness to do Callan’s story. She did it. Callan was so strong and determined to be more than his upbringing and past. He fought through the cult tendencies and made himself. He also knew love and wanting a mate. He is Alpha male and makes no excuses for his demands. Read On!
It was okay
Callan was first introduced in Andre’s story. He’s like Neil Christiansen. A man with a few words but his actions are somewhat honorable when he falls for his stepsister, Emily and rescues her from a ruthless sex trafficker!! I love brief appearances with Andre, Talon, Tank, Tyler and Neil whom they helped Callan rescue Emily from that kidnapper!!!
