Publisher Description

The problem with being the family do-gooder? Sometimes you need to be bad.

Or selfish, or whatever it's called when I lock lips with Blanka Pavlo in a hospital hallway. I'm nuts about the sexy science goddess, but it's a dick move to ditch a lifetime of rescue work staying here instead of heading back out on the high seas.

But it turns out donating an organ gets you grounded a while. A few months at my family's resort means more time with Blanka, and more chances she'll notice I suck at self-care.

She has a point, and also a plan. That's how I end up tied to my headboard with balloon animals, adopting a homely cat, and joining Blanka for a bubble bath that's way steamier than any fully-clothed event ought to be.

It's almost enough to make a guy forget why he's spent a lifetime struggling to cancel out the sins of dear ol' dad.

Almost. Not quite.

Sins of the father

A delightful addition to the Ponderosa Resort series by Tawna Fenske. Jonathan Bracelyn is the spitting image of his philandering father. He has dedicated his life to helping others, like his stepfather, to atone for his biological father’s sins. Blanka Pablo is a Ukrainian research scientist whose father is the ultimate philanthropist who ignores his own family in order to help others. Both of these characters have serious daddy issues that loom large over their budding relationship. This is a cute, funny romance that has a minimal amount of angst before you get to your happily ever after.

Captain Dreamboat

I got to page 400 and quit! Major boring.....like plowing thru mud. There was no humor. Save time and don’t read it!

Fun, light, easy read

I enjoyed this romance, but have a few minor issues with the kidney donation information. But knowing most people would not be familiar with that, I'm giving this a 4 star rating. You will love spending time with Jon and Blanka. I found the canoe/kayak adventure to be fun, light and yet heartwarming and heartbreaking. I laughed at the self-care experiments and I hope you will too. Overall a fun, light and easy book.
