Captain Flint's Crew

I'll make it as a pirate if it's the last thing I do.

Chen gets her wish for an adventurous life when she becomes a cook on a pirate ship. What she finds is treachery at every turn, the challenge of learning about life on a pirate ship, and learning to cook and defend herself, fast. But if she can get her hands on Captain Flint's treasure, her worries would be over.

The series continues with Daughter of the Black Flag coming in February 2026.

This story is based on some characters created by Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island. In his book, it refers to Captain Flint and his crew having sailed the seas, but we never know the story. I've created that backstory, as well as added Chen, a woman who becomes a pirate. She's based on an amalgam of the real pirate women who sailed the seas for freedom and treasure.
