Car Bumper Design Project

My name is Joshua Wood, a Physics teacher who has transformed how my students learn. There is an urgent need to help foster creativity, critical thinking and many other 21st century skills students will need when they leave our classrooms. This book outlines an engaging project that can be used in the high school Physics classroom. In this project, students investigated the concepts of momentum and impulse through the lens of car safety. Students designed car bumper prototypes, connected with an engineer for feed back and published a book on car safety.
