Extreme Racecourse

A High School Physics Project Guide

Publisher Description

This is a guide to an extended High School physics project. In this project, students investigated the principles of motion, forces and circular motion to create a fictional ‘extreme racecourse’ By using real data for different cars, tires and road materials they were able to calculate a variety of minimum and maximum speeds for loops and turns. Students also explored the biological implications for drivers changing direction at very high speeds. Throughout the process, students used their MacBooks, iPhones and a variety of applications to achieve their results.
