Finding a good man in a small town has never been so difficult!
Perpetually single Maggie Beaumont almost believes that her perfect man is out there waiting for her. With her infamous romantic past—including a failed long-term relationship with her high school sweetheart and a dead-end crush on the new priest, Father Tim O’Halloran—it’s becoming more and more difficult to picture anyone rolling into the small town of Gideon’s Cove, Maine, just to sweep Maggie off her feet. So when Father Tim offers to set Maggie up on a series of blind dates, she decides she has nothing to lose and lets him play matchmaker.
After a few bad dinners, including one date who doesn’t even show up, Maggie is ready to give up dating for good. But then romantic salvation appears in the form of sullen local fisherman Malone. Malone has always been dark and silent—not exactly Maggie’s ideal future partner. But as Maggie learns more about this mysterious man, she realizes that there’s a heart of gold underneath his salty exterior, and she wonders if Malone could be a good catch after all.

PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Diner owner Maggie Beaumont longs to meet that special someone. Unfortunately, her tiny town in Maine offers few prospects, and when she finally develops a crush, the object of her affection turns out to be the new parish priest. But Maggie soon notices Malone, a surly, taciturn lobsterman, and their relationship takes some unusual twists and turns. Narrator Xe Sands ably renders the good-hearted but awkward Maggie, who has a knack for babbling when she's nervous, putting her foot in her mouth, and creating embarrassing misunderstandings. Sands captures the humor of Maggie's mishaps and creates distinctive voices for the other characters, including a surly growl for Malone, an Irish lilt for Father Tim, a seductive purr for Maggie's flirty friend, and quavering tones for Maggie's elderly neighbor. The result is an engaging, humorous listen. A HQN paperback.

Kristin Higgins NEVER disappoints!
Such a great story, wonderful characters, heartwarming and funny! One of my most favorite authors. I highly recommend this fun and touching book. It’s a must read.
⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
very cute
I think the protagonist deserves better but I enjoyed this book nonetheless! She should get recognition from the town she services selflessly, or at least more buzz for her diner. The romance managed to evoke steaminess without being explicit, which is so rare.
Catch of the Day
This author never fails to make me smile, laugh, cry and keep reading her books. She always manages to touch my heart with her stories of real life. A must read, wonderful book like all her others.
