I love the world R. J. Blain has created
The books in this series feature different characters and their lives but the magic of the world stays the same. I am always on the edge of my seat when I new book comes out and I get to enjoy the next story full of magic and mayhem.
Not my favorite
I love Blaine’s books but this one wasn’t my favorite. There was never a description of any of the characters so they never went past faceless cardboard characters. The crime at the center is horrific but also treated a bit glibly. It was weird and all ended well but the ride wasn’t as much fun. More world development would have been nice and the beginning was hard to get into and understand. Better luck with the next one?
