Dark issues, snarky repartee, and no "good guys " die
Interesting story. Imaginative characters. Easy to read. Light snarky repartee - through the WHOLE book, a bit too much although partially offset by protagonist's thoughts. But the good guys win and no good entities die. And almost any described pain and suffering are to help e.g. setting a broken nose.
