Pleasantly surprised.....
So, I have to admit I almost quit reading this book more than once. It was slow to start for me and I kept asking myself where is this going. Then I hit a point where I told myself I'm half way just keep going now and see how it ends..... (without giving any spoilers) I'm glad I stuck it out. I was pleasantly surprise with the last few chapters and my suspection was correct about her beloved. Bottom line: dispite the slow start, I'm back to buy book 2 :)
p.s. If you haven't already, read The Witches of Cleopatra Hill it was was great!

It was a good book with the right hook to lead you to want to read the next one!
