Better than the movie
I always enjoy Tom Clancy novels, although I've always avoided reading books after seeing the movie.
Well, I changed up and read "Clear and Present Danger" and I'm very glad I did! Much better than the movie, (aren't they always) the book was a much better story than the movie.
Terrific read.
To the “This Spanish Is Incorrect” Review
You’re right, “mano” is in fact “hand” in Spanish, but it’s also slang for “hermano” which is “brother” in English. We’ll use your example. “Hope you like to run, brother.” Thus, Clancy is using the Spanish slang word “mano” for “brother” correctly.
Great Read
I’m in my early 30s so when I started reading Clancy in high school it was mostly Jack Jr and Campus focused. The only original Clancy I had read at that time was Rainbow Six. Knowing so much about the bond between Clark and Chavez it was refreshing to finally read their origin story. Highly recommend!
