Publisher Description

The definitive takedown by the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Secret Empires.

In 2000, Bill and Hillary Clinton owed millions of dollars in legal debt. Since then, they’ve earned over $130 million. Where did the money come from? Most people assume that the Clintons amassed their wealth through lucrative book deals and high-six figure fees for speaking gigs. Now, Peter Schweizer shows who is really behind those enormous payments.

In his New York Times bestselling books Extortion and Throw Them All Out, Schweizer detailed patterns of official corruption in Washington that led to congressional resignations and new ethics laws. In Clinton Cash, he follows the Clinton money trail, revealing the connection between their personal fortune, their “close personal friends,” the Clinton Foundation, foreign nations, and some of the highest ranks of government.

Schweizer reveals the Clinton’s troubling dealings in Kazakhstan, Colombia, Haiti, and other places at the “wild west” fringe of the global economy. In this blockbuster exposé, Schweizer merely presents the troubling facts he’s uncovered. Meticulously researched and scrupulously sourced, filled with headline-making revelations, Clinton Cash raises serious questions of judgment, of possible indebtedness to an array of foreign interests, and ultimately, of fitness for high public office.

An easy read on a difficult subject.

"Clinton Cash" is meticulously researched, intellectually honest and powerful. Buy it, give it as a gift, share it with those too young to remember the constant whiff of scandal and self-dealing that attached to everything the Clintons did in the 1990s and have perfected today.

This book is a quick read, but a steady, devastating dissection of Bill and Hillary Clinton's techniques for using their private foundation and their public positions as a former President and a sitting Secretary of State, respectively, for their own financial benefit and aggrandizement.

I was fortunate to receive an advance copy in manuscript form so, unlike most of the early reviews you will see here, have actually READ the book. The book sweeps from Russia and Kazakhstan to South America, Africa and the Caribbean in tracing the trail of money, donated in huge sums to the Clinton Foundation, and/or thrown at Bill Clinton for six-figure private speaking fees, by fat cats with (surprise!) business before the State Department. The sale of Uranium One to a Russian government-tied firm is only the first story Schweizer tells. The money flows from the Middle East, Sweden, Canada, India and the Far East. The speeches become more and more lucrative, and the donations to the Clinton's family foundation larger still.

Schweizer was careful to share many of his most explosive facts with reporters at the New York Times, Washington Post, ABC News and Fox so they could "check his work" before the book's publication. This has paid him and all Americans dividends in that these reporters have not only confirmed his findings but uncovered even more through their own investigation. When you're looking into the Clintons, where there's smoke... Oh Boy, is there a lot of smoke!

The book lays out a compelling case for further investigating these "coincidences." The author has repeatedly said so during his many TV interviews before the book's launch. He is careful not to assume too much, and as you hear the reactions in the political world to Peter Schweizer's charges, you understand that these are very careful, crafty people who know how to hide what must stay hidden. As your mind turns over how these various deals must have gone down, you find it easier to understand WHY Hillary Clinton would insist on maintaining her own private email server. "Personal email," indeed.

You will find it more and more frustrating to see that the government bureaucracy at the State Department exercised no oversight of her foundation's activities, even though they were specifically supposed to, under orders from the Obama Administration. You will shake your head at the cronyism, nepotism and old-boy network shenanigans that jump off the pages of Peter Schweizer's book.

Peter Schweizer and his research organization have done America a great service in exposing this, as they did in exposing congressional insider stock trading previously. This is what investigative journalism should be. Fearless. Honest. Dogged.

Eye opening

The preamble to DC version of the Kardashians next big scandal. Best case ever to abolish the professional politician.
