Publisher Description

Colin Frake Fire Mountain
The world of Reanne has a secret bigger than the night sky. It lies buried deep under the town of Vigerock. It lives in the thoughts and dreams of the royals in Nightchurch. It is protected and watched over by a mysterious woman named Shore. It is cultivated and revered by the witches of Fire Mountain. It is bestowed upon unsuspecting young men who live out their days as giants, shunned by the lowlanders. Some call it magic or witchcraft, but others know better. Reanne is a unique place in the universe, an outpost that holds clues to the origin of existence.
Colin Frake knows nothing of these things and spends his afternoons wandering Owlfoot Canyon. He is fifteen years old, and is about to be drawn into an adventure of epic proportions.

Colin Frake Asclepius

Colin is reunited with Petunia, but struggles with his baffling connection to the animal kingdom. An entire town is possessed and marches to confront the Fire Mountain Clan.
Multiple realms are on a collision course, and each has pieces of the puzzle that is Reanne. A magical creature named Tuma knows this all too well. She is a keeper, an ancient guardian of the lands around Fire Mountain. Her dreams take her to the stars and back again.

Music!!

I'm halfway through the second book and still a little fuzzy on what the heck is going on and how all the pieces fit together but these are fun books. The one thing I love the most is the awesome music tracks you can play while reading. It helps me visualize what's happening and makes me feel closer to the characters. The music puts these books over the top. This my first experience finding music tracks imbedded in any ereader books. We need more books like these!

Just finished both books.I think I was expecting more action and battling armies, something more epic. As I was reading, I began to realize that there were a lot of storylines and setup that needed to happen, so it was maybe a bit slow, but not because of the prose and drawn out descriptions. That's not what is happening here. It is a big world that is drawn. It's ambitious in its scope. It's also not derivative, for the most part. It weaves its own path and I kept reading because I wanted to find out out where this was all leading. I can tell you after book two, I am happy I did. It's really an interesting story and it's clever in the way it disguises Its true purpose. I think have an inkling where this is leading now, but I won't do any spoiling. I recommend Colin Frake highly. I like the premise and the characters

It's a long book, but the chapters are short and action packed. Two Steps From Hell are headed to the Universal movie lot. Mark my words. Just don't get Justin Bieber to play Colin, OK?
