Great romantic suspense story
Another edge-of-your-seat romantic suspense read by Anna J Stewart had me up past my bedtime because I could not put it down!
Detective Cruz Medina needs the help of Chef Tatum Colton since he thinks her restaurant is being used as a cover for drug trafficking. To say she’s annoyed is putting it mildly, especially since her family is dealing with multiple tragedies at the moment. We instantly see sparks fly between the two right away, but their romance burn slowly. Not so with the suspense part of the story, though, because there’s no lack of suspects from the start.
Great cast of secondary characters, as well. Tatum’s sister, Simone, is talked about, leading me to wonder about her and the possibility of her own story. January, their other sister, has her own story in one of the previous Colton 911 book.
Undercover Heat itself is a stand-alone read and another example of the excellence of Ms. Stewart’s writing. 5 stars!
