Absolutely wonderful, LA will truly be missed
I thought the Vampire Huntress series was the best sci-if, paranormal I'd read.
I was thoroughly enchanted by the Vampire Huntress series. Those books got me through a spell of disease and dismay, and despair. The redemption story with a little something extra was just what I needed. The mythology created, the characters and their trials kept me searching for the next episode. Given the current world events it is almost prophetic.
This short series is just as powerful and satisfying. Another character trying to maintain faith in an unfavorable situation with others driving her into deeper despair. Her guardian angel was truly right on time. The development of each character as they figured out their path was well drawn and the secondary character's supporting roles were just as entertaining.
I was devastated to read the author died after completing this novel. It has been five years and there has not been a black voice as strong as her's in this genre.
