How can you not swoon when your true love is saying words like that to you! Felix and the words that come out of his mouth. I loved him when I first met him in the novella and Ms. Montgomery simply gave me more of him to love in this extended version.

Esme is no doubt his soulmate. There is one slight problem...he is a vampire and she is the slayer. None of that matters to them though, each other is who they want and Felix promises of this. What he doesn't anticipate is her life ending and putting the curse he knew nothing about into motion. Determined to put an end to it he teams up with members of the Council and his coven to end it and try to find happiness. Nothing in life ever comes easy and Felix has his work cut out for him. As soon as he gains the knowledge he needs as leverage he sets his plan into motion hoping to end the centuries upon centuries upon centuries curse bestowed upon him and Esme for good.

Poor Esme just wants to be with Felix and keeps getting ripped away from him only to awaken years upon years later haunted by memories of him and yet doesn't know who he is. She has to relearn their story every time she is reborn. One thing that never changes is the pull she always feels towards him, even if she has yet to learn why. All of her loved ones are always right beside her helping to keep them together and her safe. When the time finally comes she will stop at nothing to forever be with Felix.

Felix’s love for Esme spans over centuries/millenniums. There truly is no other soul for him and he proves that in his extreme loyalty to her. He forms an alliance with those that are suppose to hate his kind because of his eternal love!

Evelyn has yet again proven how talented she truly is with her writing. She has penned this combo of fantasy/paranormal that nails the story of Felix and Esme. In Cursed Lifeline Ms. Montgomery does what she does best...throws in plot twists you don't see coming, has you emotionally attached to her characters in the blink of an eye, and leaves you with a book hangover because you want more! She dangles just enough of her side characters to leave you with questions therefore desperate for their stories. And believe me when I say the side characters are aplenty.

Any fan of Buffy and Angel won’t want to miss this tale of forbidden love between a vampire prince and his slayer and the need to put an end to his cursed lifeline!
