Dalton St Mary’s CE Primary School is proud to be an Apple Distinguished School. As a one form entry school situated in the heart of Dalton-In-Furness, Cumbria, we are passionate about giving our children the best start in life and guiding them as they develop a life-long love of learning.


Our children come from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, yet they emerge as confident and creative learners. Above all, our approach to learning is child centred. We want our children to develop as metacognitive learners with the ability to understand how they learn in order to maximise their potential. We want our children to be inquisitive and learn independently but be able to work collaboratively and be reflective in their approach to learning.
