Obsessive beginning
Ah the dark obsessive world of the mafia trope. Twist it all up where the rules don’t make sense except to someone inside their world. But does it? Obsessive story at its finest.

Gripping Prequel had me at the Edge of my Seat!
Cora Kent’s Dark Devotion takes readers on a suspenseful, intense journey into the complex world of forbidden attraction and the murky boundaries between desire and morality. As a prequel to the Dark Devotion series, it sets the stage for the relationships that will unfold later, introducing readers to the gripping dynamic between the protagonist and her stepfather—a powerful and mysterious figure.
Kent’s writing style is provocative, and she doesn’t shy away from exploring the more taboo aspects of her characters’ interactions.
The pacing of the book is fast, with twists and turns that keep the reader on edge. Kent does an excellent job of building suspense while gradually peeling back layers of the characters' motivations.

His Inheritance
This book is the introduction to Dark Obsession and gives us the back story to Nicole Terlizzi and Christine. You see he was once married to her mother and there was a 15 year age gap with her mother and himself. The book gives us just enough to start begging for more. Really can’t wait to read what happens when Christine is out from under her step father’s thumb and off at college. I guess we will have to wait for Dark Obsession to come out to continue this age gap, twisted, forbidden, taboo.
