Research scientist Caitlyn Lindsey is convinced that someone is taking out her team one by one. First, a friend and research partner was killed in a home invasion. Three months ago, her boss died in a suspicious car accident. Four days ago, another partner supposedly committed suicide. And now Caitlyn herself has miraculously survived a hit-and-run. Afraid for her life with nowhere to turn, she reaches out to one of the victim's husbands, Detective Josh Solomon.
Though initially skeptical about Caitlyn's theory, Josh soon realizes that the attack that took his wife's life was anything but random. Now the two of them must discover the truth about who is after Caitlyn's team--and what their end game is--before it's too late.
In this nail-biting thriller, award-winning author Lisa Harris will have you believing that there's no such thing as random.
I love this book so much! Every page added a new twist or turn. I had a hard time putting the book down and going to sleep. Well written storyline without the language or sex scenes. So refreshing!!
Endless twists and turns
This book is a wonderful combination of mystery with a whole lot of suspense plus a little biomedical twist. Detective Josh Solomon loses his wife in a home invasion gone bad....or did he? Learning to live with his loss is much more difficult than he expects, but the incarceration of the perpetrators allows him some closure.
Caitlyn Lindsey, MedTECH researcher, is being stalked for reasons she can’t even imagine. The twists and turns in this incredible story just don’t stop until the very end and then you still wonder if they really answered all the questions! Murder, questionable vaccine trials, leaky vaccines, poisonings, cars run off the road, shots fired....the edge of your seat action will keep you guessing. Who really is behind all of this?
Published by Revell and Baker Publishing Group, this one is not to be missed! The comments and impressions are my own and were in no way solicited.
Deadly Intentions was intense!
Wow! Action, intrigue, and murder, made this nonstop romantic suspense an engaging read! If life hadn’t gotten in the way, I would have finished it in a day! The prologue opens with Detective Josh Solomon witnessing his wife’s murder and then flashes forward a year later. Research scientist Caitlyn Lindsey is almost killed in a suspicious car accident after asking a few too many questions at her coworker’s funeral. As fear overwhelms her, she decides to share what she suspects with Detective Josh to get his help. However, someone’s deadly intentions are following her, which leads to both of them having to run for their lives. Can they catch a killer or will they be caught first? I loved the faith element woven into this book in overcoming their grief and fear. If you love a good murder mystery with romance woven in, you will love Deadly Intentions! I’d rate it as a 4.5!
I was provided a copy of this book by the publisher. All opinions in this review are my own.
