Demi-deuil

"We've all been dead before, Indy."

I remembered who I was. Couldn't forget with those memories in my head. Those were the only ones without a name and a face because they were mine.

The rest? Well, they belonged to people I collected—memories captured to protect the innocent on both sides of the living and dead.

Demi-deuil wasn't a name I'd forgotten. Just one I'd buried trying to be the new me.

River, my lion, wanted a new everything, and I couldn't tell him no.

Those were the small secrets. The big ones that broke the world came down to a name I had forgotten. Masters.

Willow wasn't the only one, and they were out for blood.
