Helped and taught by the two Knights; Annyon, a grizzled veteran and his younger protégé Kendoval, Malakier sets out to unravel the prophecy told by a dying assassin. His destiny will lead him to discover something that will change him irrevocably.

Neddaleous, a hermit mage, discovers a portent of serious consequences to the land of Ahrendessa. It is a race against time for he must attempt to alert the kings of the land to make ready for war and return to the Council of Magi, an institution he turned his back on many years ago.
