Description de l’éditeur
Bad Ideas are kind of my Superpower...
I’m Ben Boerboom, the NHL’s favorite puck boy, and Lara's my slamming hot, former bestie. She's also the friend who got away and my dirty, dirty accomplice from those two insane weeks that weren't supposed to change anything... but did.
I wanted it all. Would have wrapped my forever around her finger if she'd let me. But if making bad decisions is my special skill, Lara's is making good ones... Like prioritizing her career goals and the kind of security she didn’t have growing up.
Hard pass on that kind of heartbreak again. So cue the bunnies. Years of bunnies.
Now Lara’s back in my city. Temporarily. And thanks to a burst pipe and a miscommunication with my sister, she’s living in my spare room.
A lot has changed, but two things haven’t. Her goals and the way she sometimes believes my bad ideas are good... like crossing those lines I swore we wouldn't cross again.

Ben is total golden retriever energy and relationship goals behind the player facade. This book and Dirty Talker are the best two in the series!
This pairing is adorable and sexy
Dirty Flirt, the latest in the Slayers Hockey series, did not start with a bang for me. I was shocked. I was nervous and I prayed that the character I’ve been waiting to lead his own story..and Ms. Kelly…would not let me down. Thankfully, I was correct!
Boomer, who I now can only think of as Ben, is full of marshmallow sweetness and overgrown puppy energy. Much is made about his history with just about every puck bunny that crossed his path. But all I see in this book is how he treats Lara, his past bestie, his first and the girl he’s loved for years.
Of course, they can’t be adults and own up to those feelings. That would make for a very short book! So while not a lot of angst, this pair do get in their own heads quite a bit. I loved all aspects of their friendship and relationship. Lara just gets him, and it’s adorable. To be cheesy, she completes him.
Ben and Lara quickly and completely won me over. Thanks Mira Lyn Kelly, you’ve done it again!
Fantastic!
I absolutely love the Chicago Slayers series, I find a new book boyfriend in every book. Ben “Boomer” Boerboom is fighting his feelings towards his new roommate. He has been in love with her since high school even if he tried to deny it to himself in the 8 years since he last saw her. Lara was Ben’s best friend in high school and she kept her crush on him to herself too. When Lara temporarily moved in with Ben when she moved to Chicago for her job they agreed that they would be friends like they were back in high school, before prom. That friendship was hard for both of them because they kept trying to keep their hidden feelings to themselves thinking it was what they other wanted. It was great seeing Ben and Lara fall for each other all over again, they were great friends and a great couple. It was great to see Piper and Bowie again and also see Ben’s friendship with Static grow.
This is a great series and I am looking forward to Static’s story next.
