Publisher Description
Olivia didn't expect much when she moved to a different state to start over at a new college only that it had to be better than forcing herself to live a life that no longer belonged to her. Now, a year later, she's learned how to survive her painful past, until she meets Carter. Her feelings for him threaten to destroy the walls she's built to protect her heart. Soon, she'll have to decide if she's willing to risk everything for a boy who's as broken as she is.
Carter gets lost in his music, feeling emptier with each passing day, until Olivia. It's more than attraction that draws him to her—it's the pain he sees in her eyes, the same pain he ran from when he left home. He knows he should stay away but his heart has decided otherwise.
When events take a sudden turn, each is faced with their greatest challenge—confronting their pasts.
One event can change a life irrevocably. More than one can shatter everything forever.

Customer Reviews
What a weird book ... I don’t recommend.
This book is 95% narrative and 5% dialogue.
Every chapter is written once from Olivia’s point of view and then basically repeated again from Carter’s point of view.
Overall, this story doesn’t even really make sense. Girl meets boy once and talks about him/to him as if they’re already in a relationship. One second she gets a panic attack being near him and as soon as it’s over, she’s just completely fine and ready to go to lunch with him.
This book is rushed, repetitive and it’s a completely illogical way to portray PTSD. People don’t just get triggered and then are fine the next second.
I didn’t even finish the book. I don’t recommend.
