THE FIRST NOVEL IN THE NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING ELDER RACES SERIES!
Half-human and half-wyr, Pia Giovanni spent her life keeping a low profile among the wyrkind and avoiding the continuing conflict between them and their Dark Fae enemies. But after being blackmailed into stealing a coin from the hoard of a dragon, Pia finds herself targeted by one of the most powerful—and passionate—of the Elder races.
As the most feared and respected of the wyrkind, Dragos Cuelebre cannot believe someone had the audacity to steal from him, much less succeed. And when he catches the thief, Dragos spares her life, claiming her as his own to further explore the desire they’ve ignited in each other.
Pia knows she must repay Dragos for her trespass, but refuses to become his slave—although she cannot deny wanting him, body and soul...
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
A dragon, gryphons, and other Wyr creatures populate Harrison's steamy paranormal romance, the first in the Elder Races series. When Pia Giovanni's ex-boyfriend blackmails her into stealing from Dragos Cuelebre, Pia knows it's only a matter of time before the powerful dragon tracks her down. But instead of killing her, Dragos finds himself drawn to the half-human, half-Wyr thief. When the two are attacked and captured by goblins, Dragos and Pia realize that an old, powerful enemy of Dragos's wants them dead. Harrison goes beyond the usual vampires and werewolves to create an entertaining cast of supernatural creatures, but the action soon slows to a crawl and transforms into a series of misunderstandings between the lovers. Dominant Dragos is meant to be alpha-male sexy, but his constant bouts of possessive jealousy quickly grow tiresome, as does Pia's skittish, passive nature.
Customer Reviews
Overall great plot
I did overall really like this story and I spent most of my Saturday binge reading it. The main complaint was frequently the dialogue between characters became really immature and childish. Had quite a bit of cringe factor at times that had to be ignored to enjoy the story. Although I couldn’t put this one down it is for this reason that I am not going to continue with the series.
Dragon Bound
The book was okay. However, the female lead often laments about being treated like a possession only to then encourage the male lead to do just that.
I laughed and my heart was all tingly
This was a really cute romance with good spice and heart warming feels
